Hello,
I have a 91 Accord that has been a great car. It started to stall when I stopprd, first thing I did was un-hook my power booster from the intake. The car still stalled. I had it sitting in the driveway @ idle and used the brake and there was no stall, it didnt even change the r.p.m.'s. After many unsucsessful attempts to fix it , I had it up on jack stands and went through the gears and hit the brakes for a sudden stop, no stall. I thought I had it fixed, put it on the ground went for a ride, first time I used the brakes it stalled. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with this car???
Thank You
R. Hollland

any change wether the a/c is on or off ?? any chk engine lites? chk for codes ?
so it only stalls as you are coming to a stop correct??? using the brakes,, but if at idle and you use the brake it will still idle ok ...and you had the booster hose off....mmmmm..
chk the connections to dizzy make sure they arew all tight, coil wire, I am wondering if something is shifting as you are slowing down causing to loose a good connection and make engine stall..

This is how it happens. As I am comming to a stop I will take the car out of gear , or press in the clutch. as I slow down the rpm's will drop as normal. as I reach the last 50 to 30 feet of the stop the rpm's will drop to about 400. I try and feather the gas pedal and there is nothing there, it is like the car is turned off, or it is choking out. this will last for 5 to 10 seconds, if the car is still rolling I will be able to get the rpm's back and I will take off as normal. If the car has come to a stop it will start right up and away I go. This car was run out of gas by my buddy about two days after this is when I started to have the problems. I have
1. Re-placed the fuel filter
2. Checked the flow on the fuel pump
3. Installed a new strainer in the tank
4. Re-placed all rubber fuel line fron the tank to the filter
5. Bleed the fuel injector bar
6. Ran trouble shooting on the fuel pump relay
Everything is ok, doing its job well. I dont think it is in the fuel delivery system. I am looking at the systems that reduce the idle from driving rpm's to idle rpm's. Can you reset the computer to factory defaults? Can computers be changed out with on from a car that is being parted out?

as long as the parts car has the same type of computer you shouldn't have a problem swaping them out.... if you pull the negative terminal off of your battery for few minutes that should reset the computer.... However I don't think it's a computer issue...
