My94 honda Accord is broken
Today was my birthday. When i came home and parked my car 94 honda accord 2.2 liter V-tec in the driveway, something bad happened. When i turned off the car , the starter kept on firing repeatedly loudly trying to start still even though the cars keys were in my hands. i immediately started it again , and after calling my father asked him what the hell was wrong , what should i do. he told me to rev up the engine then turn it off and leave it off. big mistake. the engine began to smoke profusely and i had to use a fire estuighnisher and disconnect the battery to get it to stop. does anyone know what may have happened? or what damage has been done? it is a 4 cyclinder btw. thanks in advance for any insights to my peril.

RE: My94 honda Accord is broken
I believe a wire must have shorted out and caused the starter to operate and cause an electrical fire. inspect all your starter connections for problem. The starter (relay) itself could have shorted out internally(in old days on cars relays were seperate now incorperated in starter unit) which would have a similar result. Good Luck
