Default Name this noise! (Videos Included)

Hello guys,

I currently posses a 1996 Honda Accord LX with an automatic transmission. Recently, there has been a mysterious noise coming from the car. Just a brief background: The noise seems to be at its most when the car is turned on during a cold start (So its at high RPMs) or when I'm driving I can hear it at high RPMs, but since the car seems to have warmed up, it produces less noise. My automatic transmission is also failing, so could it be related to that? Notice also in the 2nd attached video of the RPMs my car goes to before it can shift. The noise is a whizzing noise that can be heard throughout the first video, and upon normal acceleration at high RPMs.

Thanks!

And also, the noise seems to be coming from the passengers side of the engine compartment.

I had same problem. Check your tranny fluid and da reason y da noise is hear on the passenger side is because your tranny is there. I had to rebuilt mine myself to earn me da expensive labor. My gears were slipping and reverse did not work

I had the transmission fluid flushed and all as well. Yeah I believe the noise is from the transmission as well. The fluid is all new. Thanks

Yes I also used the Honda Transmission fluid. But i think the noise is from the transmission, but you do believe the noise if from the failing transmission? I found a good shop that will do it for me for around $830.

More than likely yes. Its a bit expensive to repair but if u have da cash go for it. Or da other option would be getting a used one from a salvage yard.
