Sometimes my navigation will stop working and it will say: Disc Reading Error. Most of the time, if i take out the DVD and re-insert it, the problem goes away. I went to the dealership to have them look at it but they stated that they couldn't look at it because the navigation was working fine at the time. The problem started happening about 3 weeks ago. Any ideas of what is going on?

 

It would help if you identify year/trim of your vehicle in your signature line.

Not uncommon for the DVD to fail. I had to repair DVD in my MDX some time ago. I used Alpine per the following link. Your's is likely same.

Also , dont take it out and reinsert it..Wait till they see it not working and then let them worry about it..

The care is 2009 honda accord. At times the navigation system fixes itself once the car is shut off and it turns back on again. It really is weird.

 

I have a 2013 ex and the navi system will find a Walmart in Chile but can't find the one across from the dealership. Any ideas? Ireally hate carrying my Garmin along in a brand new car

 

What's the dealer doing about it (under warranty)?
