Have you noticed whether CEL and Alt light are on when no-start occurs? If lights are off, the ignition switch is likely fault. Also check the blk/yel wire at the distributor connector for 12v when keyswitch is on. If voltage is missing ignition keyswitch assy is faulty.

Since you've replaced coil and ignitor, this only leaves ignition switch. I would also inspect or replace the distributor cap and rotor. A crack in these components can short the spark to ground and prevent starting.

good luck

Replacement of the electrical portion of the ignition switch isn't too difficult of a job. First, test! Turn the key to the II position. Check for battery voltage on the blk/yel wire that goes to the distributor or coil. If you have 12V, then the wire is ok.

Check for ECU codes. If a sensor failed in the distributor, it should set a code.

Also inspect the condition of the wiring in the distributor.

hooking up the wires INCORRECTLY in the ignitor will not prevent the engine from cranking

possibilities of no spark:

timing belt broken ............
coil...................
ignitor..................
distributor .........
igniton switch,,,,,,,,,,,
plug wires ..........
wiring ,, loose , broken ...........
rotor + cap ..............

You have checked all of those and i mean ALL OF THOSE ,( and i do not mean just by looking at them ) but by testing them ,,and they are all ok ??? and still no spark at spark plugs ???? and no codes ???

does car have an alarm system ???

timing belt broken ............ it turns, and looks fine/turns everything(checked with valve cover off test)
coil...................bought a new one. did same thing
ignitor..................bought new one same thing.
distributor .........
igniton switch,,,,,,,,,,,this works fine, and starts i no for sure this is fine.
plug wires ..........wires are new, and tried starting with old wires, both sets did the same thing
wiring ,, loose , broken ...........we have a good circut with all wireing up to dizzy
rotor + cap .............. very new still

i want you to try something for me...I know u put new parts in but chk a few things for me .

get a test lite....

put the key on and chk to make sure that you have power at the positive side of the coil

if you do.....assuming wiring going to coil is all good
hook up one lead to a good known ground and the test lite probe to the neg side of the coil,,have someone crank the engine
if the test lite pulsates you got a bad coil
if test lite does not pulsate you got a bad ignitor ..

do this and let us know the results ,,
