Default Need help troubleshooting an issue with my Honda Accord

Hello Everyone,

I am having an issue with my 1993 Honda Accord. It is very slow in picking up speed when I am stopped, even worse trying to start up a hill when I am stopped, as well. The car will intermittently rev high while the RPM goes up and the speedometer goes up but the car does not seem to be moving as fast as the speedometer indicates. While this is going on, the car becomes sluggish and hesitates and bucks. Can someone provide me with what the problem maybe? Thank you for any and all help!

Do you have an automatic or manual transmission?

Check for engine and transmission codes. The common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum has a link on how to check codes.

I'd check the automatic transmission fluid level. If it has been a while since it was changed, do a drain/refill.
