My car is a 2002 with >205k miles on it. For the most part it's still running very well but it's starting to act funny. It idles low which shakes the engine which thereby shakes the car. Mind you, the shakes aren't like tremors or anything but with them being associated with the low idle I'm concerned. I was originally thinking it might be either bad gas or the idle control valve. I'm not sure though. Any suggestions?

 

Sorry, don't think I can really help with your problem, but welcome to the site! I would google around if I were you and see if there's anyone else with similar problems.

 

Set your base idle. There's a thread in the DIY section about that.

Is it 4-cyl? V-6? Automatic trans?

It's a 4 cyl 5 spd

 

When were the spark plugs last changed? Did you use the NGK plugs recommended by honda?

Does your 02 have a distributor, or is it a coil-over-plug setup?
