im currently interested in a 2008 honda accord coupe...but i want it in black. i dont want EX-L, im looking for LX or EX (preferably EX) but my dad says he talked to the dealer and they dont have any black accords in EX or LX, only in EX-L. i was wondering if its just the dealer or are EX/LX not made in black? ( i dont see why they wouldnt?)

I think he is right. Some trims have different colors and leather/fabric seats.
You should just go ahead and get Ex-L. You get seatwarmers with it =) and leather just looks better.

 

does anyone know for sure? because someone wrote a review on edmunds.com and they said they have a black LX coupe....i'd really like to avoid paying the extra $2000 for something i dont want or need if possible. i really want black though...

 

to be honest, i wouldn't even recommend black unless u have a lotta time on ur hands. because black only looks good if u maintain ur car VERY WELL. that means u'd have to wash and wax it a lot. otherwise, u have dirt and scratches showing up which makes the car look unattractive. it's possible the dealer might not have it. if u read on edmunds it's probaly true then.

 

Probably you can find the list of available colors for every version by going to Honda's website. That tells you whether Honda ever MADE a black EX. (It won't tell you whether there's any available within 1000 miles.)

all 08 accord models and trim levels have a nighthawk black color option, sedan or coupe. the dealer probably meant they don't have that color in stock. have them order it or go to a different dealer. pick up one of their 08 accord info booklets and show them you want the black one. dealers like to try and get rid of their stock before they order new cars...heh.
