I could replace the cap and rotor. Plugs and wires are fairly newer. NGK everything. Although it doesn't resemble a miss as much as just vibration. It is worse w AC on and I usually do turn off with defrost on just because of that but it is there with the car just sitting in park with nothing running. I will do the cap/rotor and clean tb again but don't have very high hopes for that. I was leaning towards motor mounts since it used to get better w warmer weather but not real sure. Figured they may tighten up when they swell w heat. Hate just throwin parts at it. Wish the mounts would just b visibly bad.

This is a thread bump, as it's been about 14 months on this thread - anything new going on? How did this work out? I can tell you that engine mounts turn rock hard on anything over the years, and whether they crack or spoke out, break, etc - it's still a good idea to change them in time. Mechanics and owners miss, or skip, these issues.

I recently purchased a 98 Accord 2.3L A/T myself, in need of engine mounts and I'll probably wind up doing a timing belt myself to ensure it holds together. It has a few other random issues with the transmission 1-2 shift, but for now I'll be working on doing the engine mounts myself, and I've heard the rear is a PITA (4 hours book time for an engine mount?! WTH). I was quoted $624 for the front and rear mount by a trusted local shop using Honda parts and it dawned on me that I need to get busy. :-)

I hope things worked out, these are great cars, other than the ^&$*^%$ rear engine mount and the fact that it's a timing belt (not chain) engine.
