RE: New Shifter Knob
I have an 01 accord Auto also and I installed a Razo shift knob on my shifter. Usually with autos the shifter is suppose to spin, unless if ur shift knob locks onto the shift knob adaptor itself, but after that its normal. As for the paint on the shifter lever itself, its usually like that because they don't paint over that section because it is usually covered by the stock shift knob itself. You can paint it if you want, but if you do, let it cure for a while n make sure it doesnt chip. My kit came with a black sticker to place over but the sticker is partially tearing off because I have to push down on my shift knob also and it rubs against the sticker.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9.../Interior4.jpg what I also did to hide the shifter n make it look different is this, http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b9...y/DSC01356.jpg just get a shiftboot and try to put it under the center console. I lucked out and had a outer ring to add more support to keep it in place. Looks a little more like a stick shift now. |
RE: New Shifter Knob
Yeah man, I like the idea of the shift boot but do have to admit that it does look a little funny, no offense, as if it is too big for the shifter knob iself. But I'm still not sure what I'm going to do.

RE: New Shifter Knob
yeah I know its a lil too big, im kinda too lazy to cut it. I have to get a new boot, because the one im using, I cant really cut. The top has like a velcro n button thing to keep the top locked n the bottom has lyk anelastic or sumthin like that to grip around the shifter housing.
