Default No defrost No floor Only main vents blow

Tried the search function and I usually have great sucess but not so much this time...

I have heat butonly out of the main vents no matter what is selected on the dial. When I move the dial to other vents I can hear something move internally as if to change the airflow to another ventbut still nothing happens. Any ideas?

By the way this site is the first tool I use when something goes wrong with the Jackmobile. I purchased this car because I am a new father and my other vehicle is a reg cab f150which is not so child seat friendly. and the gas mileage and reliability of a hondadoesnt hurt either...

congrats on the kid! My wife is supposed to be induced tonight.... I didn't notice what year/model your car was so I'm going to throw out random answers.... but if you can hear it moving but no air is changing direction I would go dash diving for the "selector" that diverts airflow and see if you can manually move it and change the airflow, it's either the selector on the dash or the "motor" that chooses which way air is diverted.....

*ROFL* sorry about that man, I totally spaced it, I believe that car is going to be a manual/wire controlled, those are like a slide style switch aren't they? If that's the case look under the dash on the passenger side and slide it back and forth, look for the wire that connects to the heating ducts and if it's not connected that would cause your problems, if it is connected then make sure it's moving far enough...

it's not vacuum operated... here's the test procedures from a 91 which should be about the same

here's the control cable adjustment so you can check to make sure it didn't come out of the clip or anything....
