Default OBD1 Conversion... again

So asked a few of these things but I think the thread got lost among the others. I can't really find any info online. But with a chipped ECU I'm converting from OBD2 to OBD1.

Anyone know the legal issues with that in NYS?

Also, are there sensors that will not work anymore? Can I still use my OBD2 port to read the computer with OBD2 reading equipment?

Is my car going to technically be OBD1 or with the 97 Accord map on the chip it is still OBD2 are far as programming is concerned?

I'm not too familiar with the differences with on board diagnostics and am still trying to learn.

so why are you converting again? For a chip? Why not re-flash the stock ECu and skip the mess of rewiring your whole car?

I saw that option but I thought it easier to put in a chipped ecu. What do you mean rewire though? Dont I just need to plug it in with the conversion harness? I'm not putting and OBD1 engine in.
