Default Oil sump for engine F20B6

Hi All,

Where can I find a reasonably priced oil sump for engine F20B6? (new or used in very good condition) It should be Honda part #11200-PDA-E00.

This is for my 1999 Honda Accord 2.0i with the oil sump that rusted beyond the possibility of repair and has started leaking oil.

Many thanks in advance,

Dmitriy

Most of us are in the US, don't think we won't try to help.....just most of the places we would go are not available to you

The oil pan, as we would call it - again don't take this the wrong way. Here there are many places that sell them in the aftermarket or junkyards.

I hope someone else might chime in with a "replacement" idea that I don'y know....like the F22 or some other engine in north america will work.

EDIT: The talk here: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=139559 - seems to state the pan is the same on the four cyl's....just the part about steel or alum pans.....sorry, best I have.

poorman212:

Thank you, yes I understand - just desperate ) I got offered a used one recently. It also has rust in a few places but looks like it's easier to buy and weld it..... Meanwhile finding a fully compatible oil pan from a different engine would be perfect if someone could confirm which ones fit (ideally with the part numbers to avoid any confusion).

Both of these look like mine:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dorman-Oil-P...-/300765462548

Could anyone please confirm if Dorman 264-406 and Honda 11200-PAA-A00 are effectively the same part as Honda 11200-PDA-E00?

Again I don't know. The link to the discussion on another fourm said they were but no confirmation.

I know a few people that work for Dorman/R&B. I'll call or e-mail them in the am and see what they can find out. Might be a few days - week before they can get back with me.

Pure guess here. Knowing that Honda would want to keep costs low, I bet the block on the F22 nd F20 is the same....the difference being in the stroke and/or bore of the block.

Great - many thanks. Meanwhile one of the Honda centres in UK said 11200-PAA-A00 and 11200-PDA-E00 are NOT the same part as if they were they would have the same name. This sounds a bit strange as my experience with, say, Mercury outboard parts tells me exactly the opposite where the same part has several different names. I also thought designing many different oil pans wouldn't help Honda reduce costs.

One used 11200-PDA-E00 with rust in a few places is selling locally and looks like buying and welding it is the cheapest way out so far... unless those Dorman/R&B people tell us a cross referenced item that's easier to get brand-new.

For now, I'd have to with the local option/repair. Agian it could be days or week(s) before knowing for sure.

Hang on to the one you have if you can - might need it at some point.

Yeah I'll then weld and fit the used one just to keep the car going safely and keep looking for a proper one in the background... after all those bolts and nuts are undone once I'll probably be able to fit a brand-new one myself.

Hi All,

Fortunately I've found and purchased a pan from the same engine as mine w/o rust at all, just slightly bent inside (if they leave the engines stand on the pans at scrapyards then the pans must be quite hard for the thickness of steel they're made of!).

Anyway... could anyone please confirm if there's no need to remove the (manual) gearbox/clutch housing to swap it? The pictures of mine suggest otherwise as there's a part looking like some shield that conceals about 2" of the pan. I wish I had access to a safe trestle to check it myself. Not sure how to upload a picture here.

Many thanks,

Dmitriy
