Default Overheating issue

I have a 96 Accord with the F22B2 and I have replaced the following:

Timing belt and Balancer Belt
Radiator
Thermostat
Waterpump
I have properly bled the cooling system

After all this and about 10-20 min of the car running it goes past the half way mark on the coolant gauge. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Did the car have an overheating issue prior to changing the radiator, water pump, and thermostat?

Does the radiator fan (passenger side fan) come on?

When purging air out of the cooling system, did you feel if the lower radiator hose got hot (to indicate thermostat opened which would help get more air pockets out of system)?

Yes, the car did have an overheating problem before any of the coolant related repairs.

I have both fans jumped at the moment so they are always running. I did this because the previous owner replaced the thermostat housing and just plugged the sensor hole that turns the fans on, and none of the sensors from AutoZone fit the whole, so I just wire them to turn on when the ignition is turned on.

I have not tested the lower radiator hose but I will try and get back to you about it first thing tomorrow morning. The Radiator and Thermostat were all done by the previous owner, I myself did the Timing belts, water pump, and bled the coolant system.

Thank you for the help!

Any advice is much appreciated!

did you check your timing? i always ask after a timing belt has been serviced. did you have the heater temp all the way to hot when you filled and bleed the system? correct install of thermostat?

Timing is 100% spot on. Heater temp was all the way up as well as blower motor. I properly bled the cooling system, even did it with the front end jack up, and i'm assuming the previous owner installed the thermostat correctly, it's pretty hard to screw that up haha

Any overheating symptoms other than the gauge? Losing coolant anywhere? Coolant overfilling the overflow tank?

No coolant has been lost. It stays at that same level no matter what. I have the overflow filled to the correct markings but besides that. no overfilling or anything.

Maybe the previous owner used an aftermarket thermostat that does not open up at the right temperature? Most techs that post on here say to use only a Honda OEM thermostat.

I have had the car currently running for about 10 min and the bottom hose is still cold while that top is warm.

The lower hose stays cold and the gauge reads hot? X2 on thermostat.
