Passenger Sideview mirror camera
My accord is equipped with a camera mounted on the passenger sideview mirror that activates when I activate the right turn signal indicator. I just noticed that the camera appears to have adjusted its view so that the side of my car is in view, in other words too much inward. I don't remember viewing the side of my car before so I'm wondering if there is an adjustment somewhere on the mirror assembly... a screw to adjust the camera outward a little.
The LaneWatch Camera needs to be re-aimed/calibrated. Generally, not that much of a diy project without the correct references for aiming. Search the internet with the term Honda LaneWatch Camera aiming for more info.
Thanks. I wasn't even thinking about the LDW piece of it. If the camera is, indeed, off, the warning should not come at the right time when I'm encroaching lane markers.
Whoops. Belay that. I just read my owner's manual and the LDW camera is located behind the rearview mirror, not on the sideview mirror.

Isn't lane-departure warning different from lane-view?
If the camera view from the side mirror is off, what about the whole mirror housing being moved out of position (like partly folded back), possibly from someone bumping it in a parking lot?

Hi Jim. Yes, as I pointed out in an edit to my previous message, these are different cameras. The first thing I checked was indeed that the mirror assembly was not disturbed in any way. Now I have reexamined my Laneview today. I think I may have just never noticed the fact that the camera view is a fisheye (wide-angle) view and includes the side of the car. So I think that it turns out that there was nothing wrong in the first place, but it has been interesting researching how the camera is aimed/calibrated. I apologize for anyone's time that I may have wasted.
Thanks, Paul
