Please Help!!!
Hello all!! I just picked up a 00 accord ex sedan 3.0. very well maintained car with 225k on the clock. I have searched and tried things till blue in the face so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it and thanks in advance!!! Here goes I am getting a 1500-2000 rpm surge. Here's what I can tell you. Coolant level is fine brand new iac valve, gasket tb completely cleaned with new gasket still no change, tried a new upper intake manifold gasket still nothing. Have tried spraying good with tb cleaner while car is running and no changes in rpms, took air box out and disconnected from tb while running and blocked tb port and it did nothing like die like it was even trying to suck any air at all. Put air box back in restarted car unplugged map sensor and it started to idle fairly normal but did struggle when giving it gas. Have tried resetting computer pulling #13 fuse, tried starting car holding throttle to 3k for 10sec,tried starting car disconnecting iac valve and adjusting the screw in the recessed area. I'm lost on what to do or try I don't wanna keep hanging parts. Please any help!!

All vacume lines look good some are newer it appears. I'm not getting any codes on scan tool but its just a cheap one to reset the cel. Someone told me that it's gotta be vacume issue since the car didn't die or do anything for that matter when I had the air box out and disconnected from throttle body and covered the throttle body port while running. I am losing my mind here and cannot afford to take somewhere and be bent over!! Thanks for any imput I do appreciate it much!!

You can try to find a vacuum leak. There are several methods using carb cleaner, propane, or a spray bottle filled with water. I think the water method is probably the easiest. Propane may be the safest. There are youtube videos showing how to do this.
Here is a very detailed video using a scanner, but he shows the water method and some other items you can try (like pinching the brake booster).
