Default Power Steering delete

Not asking whether or not to do it. Looking for easiest way to remove power steering without compromising safety. Thanks all.

I have heard it said this can cause the wheel to lock up later down the road.

I thinklooping the hoses together will help avoid that. Leave them hanging & youre inviting crud to get in there & screw things up.

The BEST way would be to get your hands on a manual rack that doesnt have a spool valve on the pinion shaft. But I dont know if such a thing exists...

Loosen the PS pump mounting bolts, loosen the tensioning belt. That allows the pump to slide downwards, slackening the belt.

For the record, I drove around without a pump and hoses hanging for a long time, never any issues. Enjoy the awesome feel of no power steering!
