Power Steering Problem?

Default Power Steering Problem?

I have a 2006 Honda Accord LX V6 Coupe. I live in Palm Springs, CA where it is hot and dry. I am on a trip up to San Francisco where it is cool and humid. When I start the car first thing it the morning, there is a whining sound when I turn the steering wheel. When I open the engine compartment, there is a shrieking/chattering sound near the top pulley adjacent to the serpentine belt. The sounds both disappear after 5-10 minutes of driving. A honda mechanic in Monterey, CA thinks it might be air getting into the line that feeds the power steering fluid. He suspects that once the fluid warms up that the problem disappears. Can anyone give me guidance.

It probably is the inlet joint o-ring.
