Default Power window relearn procedure

I plan on replacing the battery in my 2013 Accord V6. I was browsing through Haynes repair manual 2013-2017 and it says that after battery replacement I will have to perform the "Power window relearn" procedure. This procedure is 18 steps long! It sounds like it is supposed to control the AutoUp and AutoDown function from the steps involved. Has anyone heard of this procedure and do you think I'm going to have to perform it? It is a quite strange procedure. E.g., after performing the first 13 steps, step 14 says "Verify that the AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN don't work. (bold mine). If they do, go back to Step 5 and start over! Wow.

I'm not sure if you will lose the auto up/down function when replacing the battery. If it remains after replacement, then obviously don't worry about it. If you lose it, I found this video on resetting. It is worth a shot to try. Let us know what happens on your accord, as this can help others if resetting is necessary.

The following are excerpts from the Honda S/M:

You shouldn't need to do the power window control unit reset procedure when replacing the car battery. The power window memory is cleared with the power window down switch sequences (verifying the Auto UP and Auto Down not working after that point in the procedures (4th down), is to check that the memory was cleared).

As a side note, in regard to replacing the car battery, it states in part:

NOTE:
Always disconnect the negative side first.
To protect the battery sensor connector from damage, do not hold it when removing the negative terminal.
Do not disconnect the battery sensor from the negative terminal.

Thank you both for your responses. I'm thinking of having Walmart install a battery for me. Now my only concern is that they know not to disconnect the battery sensor.

Thanks! It's good to know we have authoritative sources we can access when we have issues.

Thought I would post a follow-up. Had a new battery installed by Belle Tire and as predicted, it did not affect the power window up/down settings. It looks like the guy must have broken off the black cover to the negative terminal as it is no longer there. I know it isn't necessary, but it bugs me nonetheless.

The black cover on the negative terminal is part of the battery sensor.

Which means he broke it?? The battery sensor is still there, a rectangular piece connected to the cable, right?
