I was thinking along the same lines as hondadude. Were they noticing the windows down after pressing the button twice to unlock the doors? On mine if you hold the button down just a blink after the 2nd press they come down a few inches as you've described. I'm wondering if they were actually causing it but not realizing same?

Well, it did it again. They are having someone from Honda come out. I think they should replace the remotes. One might be sending out a signal every so often causing the problem. Makes sense to me but what do I know!

Well the saga is coming to an end, at least for us. The dealer removed the batteries from the remotes and the problem has not occurred. My in-laws don't believe this is the issue. They are trading in their early '06 VP for a late '07 VP. They will be paying $3,500 in exchange for a new car. Not a bad deal except they are going from the dark blue to beige(ugh). If anyone wants a low mileage 06(less than 10K on it), It should appear on the used car lot at J.L. Freed within the next 2 months.

Wink Thanks for the Help

Years after this post was written it is still very helpful. I just got a call from my wife. She said that she came back to her car (2007 accord) and found all 4 windows down about 6 inches. Very weird. I thought she was kidding me as I am on a business trip. Then I read this forum.... I called my wife back and had her try pressing the unlock button on her remote, holding it down on the second press. The windows opened. Problem solved. Thanks!

I just bought a 06 Accord and when I came out from the first place I stopped after buying it all 4 of the windows were down. I was dumbfounded but figured I did something. I must have hit the button 3x while it was in my pocket. Thanks for the info. Hopefully that WAS what happened with my car.

Default RE: Power windows going down by themselves - it is true

I have a 2010 accord, all windows and moon roof opened this morning when I ready for work. The first time ever happen bring me to this forum.
I came home last night park in the garage, locked for sure.
Thank you for the information posted here, by reading messages I wonder is it possible because of my remote is low on battery?

Default 2012 Accord V-6

Same thing happened to me today, this is the first occurrence. Windows down about an inch or so, it is a hot day, just wondering was it hot when this happened to others?
My 01 Volvo S60 would turn on the a/c fans on really hot days, could the Accord be doing something similar by 'venting' the windows?

It is usually due to the remote transmitter being inadvertently pressed against something.

When it happened to me, although I didn't realize it I must have bumped the button while it was it my pocket. Either the keys or coins pulled the button.
