Problem with temp gauge
If your reading of 92.8 ohm is correct, it kind of sounds like both the sender unit and gauge are faulty.
When the coolant temperature was warmed up to normal operating temperature, the resistance reading should be about 30-46 ohms. If the instrument temperature gauge was showing at the redline, the resistance of the sender unit should even be lower than 30 ohms.
