Default PS Pump Questions

This is for a 96 Honda Accord EX,Vtec 5 speed.

I am curious if the PS pump Pulley is still pressed ON even when there is a nut in front? If so,do I need a puller/Installer for Honda Pumps(Specific tool?)? I have done many GM,Chrysler and Fords but never did the Honda before.I was not sure if the pulley could be slipped off once the nut was off,or if I still needed to use a puller.

Thank you for any tips or suggestions,it looks easy enough, just like to know ahead of time.

It is not pressed on...however note the left hand thread on the bolt that holds it on.

Pretty simple pumps to rebuild yourself.

Yes, clockwise to remove....or turn right.

This is from the manual for a 94, should be the same as your 96.

I've rebuilt a couple (one on the wife's accord, another on a neighbors Odessey). No special tools required at all (thought not everyone has a 10mm allen wrench to take the pressure regulator apart). I went online to hondapartsnow and bought all the seals individually, it was actually cheaper than the rebuild kit at the local parts store. When you get the case apart, be careful not to let the vanes fall out. They should go back into the housing in the same orientation that they came out, if they come out. There is no rubber seal to replace in there, so as long as it's clean, do not take them out intentionally.
