Hi guys... Im new to this forum... well I am 16 and just got my new car!!!
i got a 2008 honda accord coupe. (Manual). 4 cylinder
my question is:
1. My car vs honda SI... which one would win? SI right?
2. If add a cold air intake.. would it increase my HP? by how much?
3. I was given the choice to by this car or Honda SI... did i make the wrong choice?

 

1) A Honda Civic SI is what I assume you are referring to. Civic SI would win
2) Somewhere in the range of 1-3 extra HP(5 max)
3) That is all owner preference. I would have taken the Civic SI. Many others would rather have the Accord since it is roomier and more luxuroius than the Civic SI.

 

Wow i would of taken the Honda Si in a heart beat bro. Stock for stock the Si wins hands down every time. The K20 responds great to bolt on's way better than your accord will. O well you still have a nice car work with what you got and make it a fun car

I had the choice and took the Accord. As stated above, there is A LOT to be said for comfort. Of course, I have another car for fun, the Accord is my daily commuter.

 

The Civic SI is really not that fast. It only has7 more HP than the 4cyl 08 Accord. Plus the Accord has 23 more ft lbs of torque. If you raced your Accord against an SI youcould definitely winif you can drive better than the SI driver.

It is true that the accord is big inside... maybe too big... sometimes its hard for me to park... =(

 

I think the Accord is the better car because of the 6MT problems, but I think the SI is faster due to the weight difference.

 

I should take out the back seat and the passenger seats.lol that would make it lighter... =]
