What is the small spring in the radiator fill neck for and what supports it? I know the cap has a spring, but after you take the cap off there is a skinnier spring that is inside the fill neck. My sister in law's brother picked up the spring and whatever it is supported by fell down the radiator. I need to know how I can get this out and what it is there for. Any help is appreciated.


It's a 2002 Accord Ex Coupe. 3.0 v6 and auto transmission.

 

NEVERMIND! I figured it out. The spring came from inside the cap. I'm going to fish it out tomorrow and buy a new cap. Thanks anyway.
