Call any honda dealer and give them the serial you got with 1 and 6, they give you the code right away.

Re xp190 . Your second way worked . Thanks . I did not lock my 5 digit code though .

Here are are the steps. 1999 Honda accord EX. V4

1)Radio locked after battery change.
2)Lost code and could not recollect serial number .
3)Found a 10 digit alphanumeric number in the glive box (small white sticker)
4)Called the dealer directly (he gave me the 5 digit code w/o asking any details like VIN# etc . he just took the Serial #)
5)Tried putting in the code ..it wouln't work .

You need to hold each number for roughly a second and keep holding on the last number of the code until the radio starts playing . I did this in the 9th attempt ..just puttoing the code won't work .. YOU HAVE TO KEEP PRESSING THE LAST NUMBER .

Thank you! Used your link and entered the info. Worked perfect and radio is now unlocked. Nice to know the web site is operated by Honda!

Default radio code

Yes go to the Honda link above. FYI you have a nav code (if applicable) and a radio code . They email it to you so it will be in your records forever. Thanks honda!
