Radio turns off on its own

Radio turns off on its own
2005 Accord, 150K. Immediately upon start up or early in the commute my radio has been losing power completely for a couple of seconds before coming back on. Five minutes or so into the commute this problem goes away.
I've let the problem go for months, but now it seems to be spreading. The seat belt chime is shorting out as well occasionally.
I've had it looked at. The battery is fine, the diagnostic throws no codes, and otherwise there is no electrical problems. Mechanics are puzzled, studied schematics and want to replace my ignition switch on a hunch even though it starts fine.
Suggestions? Thanks!

I think Alpine made those head units. There is an 800 number you can call to see if they can fix the problem. I think it runs $160 for the repair (if possible).
I don't know if the seatbelt chime is part of the head unit or not.
Here is the number 800-421-2284
