Radio and vtec controller wont work:/
Well i posted a while back here in regards to my 94 honda accord ex regarding massive fuel consumption but anyways that is solved already.
I recently rebuild the auto tranny on this car ( reverse would grind and not engage and filter was clogged causing my gears to slip) so now i put the tranny back on monday morning and now it runs wells. My radio and vtec controller were also working fine up until today about an 1 hr ago i went to the store to buy some munchies and both things dont work. I checked the fuses under da hood and under da dash and no blown fuses so at this point i do not know where else to check. I have not had issues with the radio nor controller so any help will be appreciated.

No i disconnected my cig lighter cuz it was not workin and will be replacing it tomorrow but i just notice today that the positive cable to the starter from da battery terminal was exposed and was touching da base of the tranny causing a short. I went ahead and adjusted it and both came on but while i was driving this mornin it went off again while i was turning on da street. I checked the same cable and it has not budged so im not sure what the problem is. Ive checked da fuses again and not any of them blown
The lighter and radio are powered by the same source....that is why I was asking.
Did you happen to check for any stored codes?
Inspect the other battery cables and be sure they are clean and tight.

Well i havent checked for any codes but i will in a bit. I checked the cables and everything is nice and tight but ill keep a look out still. Probable an exposed wire or i dont know ill update if any changes
Again I'm thinking these are two different issues.
Can you explain a bit more detail about the "vtec contoller"? If stock then you'd get a code if the vtec is not working....if "something" is wired into the vtec to control it, besides the stock ecu, then we have a different story.
Is this a stock radio?

Well when i bought this car it had the controller and a kenwood radio installed. Before i had blown the fuse for radio and cig lighter and i noticed that controller was off as well. So thats y im guessing its somewhat connected wit same power source to the radio. Though with the vtec controller on or off it doesnt affect the motor performance. I only want my radio on. I want to know where in around the engine i can check if there is a short in da wire or to at least know where to look. If u can provides pics that would be helpful too
Ok, now the "controller" makes sense....I was thinking someone had done "something".
So we've a few things to worry about......added control wired in somewhere.....aftermarket radio wired in somehow (lord I hope they used the factory inputs?)
Here is the factory set up....a few fuses to check (under dash and under hood). Then there is the relay.
