Rear Bumper Gap
I have a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6, and there seems to a large space where the rear quarter panel meets the bumper. I know there needs to be a space to prevent the two panels from rubbing together, but this gap seems to be larger than average. Is this normal?
The other side is about the same . I went to the dealer and it is hard to tell. Some of the cars had less of a gap and some of the cars had more of a gap. I guess they are inconsistant.
Thank you for your help.
Thank you for your help.
I know this is an old thread, but I have a 2011 Accord EX-L and this morning I noticed a gap on my driver's side where the rear quarter panel meets the bumper similar in size to the one in the picture rah140 posted. Also, if you look closely enough you can see the spacers between the seams where the bumper attaches. However, on the passenger side, the "gap" appears much smaller and you cannot see the spacers between the seams where the bumper attaches. I should also note that another car tapped my bumper recently while backing out of a parking spot (there was no visible damage to the bumper - it was very low impact - less than 5 mph). Now I'm wondering whether the recent tap to my bumper could have caused the gap on the driver's side or whether this is just normal for an Accord. I'm wondering if it is worth it to take the bumper off and then put it back on. Any thoughts?
