rear door unlock problem

i havve a 97 honda accord and just bought and successfully installed a keyless entry with automatic starter. Everything worked perfectly fine for one month, and now the keyless entry opens/closes all doors but the back rear. It also makes a grinding/humming sound each time i activate the door lock/unlock feature for a couple of seconds....is it possible there is some sort of motor burned out and if so is it an easy fix..thanks guys...

Do you get the same result using the lock/unlock in the car? I would test the lock actuator and then double check the install.

I have a similar issue. I bought my car used and my rear passenger door lock doesn't work. I can manually pull it up and down but with the switch or remote it just moves slightly for a second but doesn't go all the way.

The door lock actuator is a common problem on accords.

Here is a post from a mod on here from the HondaTech site for a DIY repair. This is for the front actuator, but the rear should be similar.

To test the actuator, refer to post #6 of this thread:

This is the new DIY condensed repair guide I made for this forum a couple of days ago:
