Got an aftermarket (CompuStar) Remote Starter in my '09 V6 Accord. I'd guess I've had it maybe 8 years now but this winter it's starting the car very hard and often times needs to turn it over numerous times sometimes not even starting it. It'll turn it over it just won't "kick in" and start up. Car does have a new battery this winter. Question is do Remote Starters do this after awhile? Is there something that maybe needs to be checked and/or adjusted? Never turned the car over so hard like it does now. Also got a '18 Toyota with a dealer installed remote and that thing starts in a split second. What's up with the Accord? Thanks.

 

I have one of those. Did you get the updated hardware. I made a call to the company and was sent the parts and replaced them with ease. I was having the same issue on my TL type S. Haven't had the issue since.
