Default Replace side mirror

Hi, I have 2013 Accord Sport.
is there anyone who can help for replacing driver's side mirror?
Unluckily, somebody broke the neck of my driver's side mirror.
Actual mirror and adjustment wire are fine but only neck is broken.
I guess I need to replace entire part include the plastic mounted on the car.
So my question is - is it better go to local shop with purchasing part my own or without it? or just go to Honda Dealer?
Can anyone give me estimation to fix it?

Thanks.

I don't have a 2013 manual, but in all previous years it was a very easy job to replace the mirror assy, < 1 hr work but I don't know what shop labor charge would be.

Part is available for < $100 new aftermarket or used. If painting is req'd to match color, add perhaps another $100. I would guess ~$300 w/ paint.

DIY would get you well for < $100 w/o paint (black).

good luck

In this case you will need to replace the entire mirror, that's true. We actually carry replacement parts for such cases, made by TYC brand. If you know OE # for your mirror, you can use it to make sure it'll match.

Components of the OEM mirror can be separately replaced. For example, if only the base bracket (#20 or 21 in parts diagram) is broken, then that component can be separately replaced. If the painted skull cap/cover from your original mirror is not broken, then that can be transferred to the OEM replacement mirror components.

If the skull cap/cover was damaged, (#1 or 9 in parts diagram) can be purchased from Honda separately and come painted in matching colors. However, that may not be damaged.

yes, skull cap and the mirror are not broken. only the base part is broken.
Sounds like I may not need repaint the cover.. Anyways, I ordered the part and will bring it to local shop once I receive it.
Thanks all for the advice.
