Default Replacing Tail Light on 2006 Accord

Last week I backed right into a dumpster and dented my bumper and cracked my tail light on my 2006 Honda Accord 4dr. I was able to get under the car and pop the dent outb of the bumper just fine. I purchased a replacement tail light and attempted to install it without much luck. It appears that there is a bracket on the bottom of the tail light that holds it in place. This is only accessable by removing the bumper.

Is removing the rear bumper an easy process? Do I need any special tools?

Thanks for the advice.

Easy... should take about 10-15 min... Series of screws and plastic clippings. Same as the front bumper.

Wow, that picture makes it look way more difficult than it is! Most likely a screw in each wheel well and 4-5 plastic rivets on the top and 4-5 plastic rivets on the bottom.

I also broke my tail light assembly and my back up light assembly on my trunk.
The brake light assembly looks easy to repair but I can't find any online information showing how to replace the back up light assembly. The assembly is on the passenger side. The lock for opening the trunk has a hole built into the back up light lens too which further complicates things. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There should be a small plastic clip holding a rod to the lock cyl. It will "kind of" rotate off the lock cyl, allowing you to remove the rod.

Was pretty easy to replace the back up lamps in the bumper.
Had to remove the carpeting attached on the inside. Then popped the plastic clips, disconnected the power unbolted the old removed then replaced the new. Was pretty simple.
