reverse lights not working

Question reverse lights not working

I have checked both lights and fuses they are good. cant figure it out

2005 HONDA ACCORD EX 2.4L MFI DOHC 4CYL Auto

Do you have a volt meter? Unplug one of the reverse light bulbs and test the bulb socket.

Does the blk wire have continuity to ground? Does the non-blk wire have 12V to body ground when the car is in reverse? You will need an assistant to do this one (unless the reverse lights turn on when the car is not running?)

#20 on the trans is the "position sensor". I guess that tells what gear it's in? Check for flaky electrical connections. But I guess if that was flaky, you'd get a flashing D4 lamp to indicate there's a problem.

I looked for a separate simple switch for reverse, like you usually have on a manual trans. Didn't find one, but that might just mean I didn't look hard enough.
