Default Right Door light doesn't come on

The right door light on the front of the sedan doesn't come on. I checked the switch and the wires and the switch isn't the problem and I am pretty sure the wires are not the problem because they all looked fine and weren't unplugged. We changed the bulb and it still doesn't work. Anyone know what is wrong?

I'm just curious how do you check the switch ? Did you checked it with a test light or a multimeter ?

I checked the switch by seeing of the dome light came on when I switched it from on and off.

I am pretty sure it isn't the fuse because all off the other ones wouldn't be working.

So the dome light comes on, there is no power to the socket and the wire connector is connected to the "socket"....sounds like a short, the most likly source would be where the wires "join" the door...inside the boot.

PS-What year is this thing?

The contact point of the switch might be rusty.

We took it apart and it was fine. If it was rusty the dome light wouldn't come on though. right?

so the door light doesn't come on but the dome light does? i agree with poorman i think it might be a short at the socket. mine the dome and door light doesn't come on. (intermittently, jiggling the switch makes it come on) so it's likely the the switch or loose wires for me.
