Default rough starts

Of my three 93 Accords, two of them have this issue:

Sluggish cold start, two pistons get going, then 3, then purrrrr.. takes about 10 seconds at worst.

Sluggish cold start, just some extra engine turns before it immediately runs right. Slight smell of gas when this happens.

Just about everything has been done except injectors, that is my theory, anyone?

Try this. Before a cold start, turn the key to the II position, but don't try to start the car. Wait until the check engine light turns off after the 2 second bulb check. Turn the key off and repeat for a total of 3 times, then try to start the car. This is allowing the fuel pump to pressure up the fuel rail. Let us know if the cars start up smoother.

Is there anything this tells us like it might like new injectors?

It is probably the check valve in the fuel pump, where the fuel system doesn't hold pressure.
