Seat belt replacement, '99 Accord EX
We recently bought a '99 Accord EX 4-door that someone cut the passenger seat belt. Coming out of the rear deck, I can pull out 4-5 feet of belt. Down between the door and the seat cushion, there's a small amount of belt. Anyway, having (3) kids, if we used the Accord vs the Odyssey to go somewhere, we need all seat belts.
How do I remove and replace this belt ?
It looks like the majority of the hardware is behind the in-between cushion between the seat and where the door mates up. I can pull it out a bit but am not sure how it's held in place. I'd guess it's just pop-in clip-type fasteners.
For the bottom attachment, I suspect the rear-seat bottom cushion has to be removed. How is that done ?
Thanks in advance

There's a bolt holding the back edge of the seat - you have to feel between the seat base & seat back to find it. See the little tab sticking up in the picture. Then the seat base pulls kinda forward & up at the front edge.
Fastener # 26 holds it in place ? The tab is in front of the fold-down arm rest in this picture...
When that is removed, it appears I can then access fastener # 27, which holds the side panel. Yes ?
The dealer said 3 hours to replace the belt. Is that accurate ?

Okay, got the bottom cushion, side panel and c-pillar cover off okay. Looks like the deck lid needs removed to give easy access to the (large) fastener that holds the seat-belt housing in place. Not sure how to do that so far... Hehe, might have to ask a car stereo place !
Dare I say, I think 3 hours is a bit on the high side !! It's all back together now. I like to do a dry run to see if it's a job I can manage. I think it will be. Now I need to order the part.

I got it *close*. Any help on the rear deck cover ? Actually, I wonder if a box wrench would work w/o having to remove the cover...
Also, where do people like to order parts from ? Over at the Honda Odyssey forum I visit, Bernardi is popular. I found the part at G1 Parts, a Honda dealer in TX, for a bit less. The local dealers all charge "list" price (+ tax).

I've used...
hondaautomotiveparts dot com (Majestic Honda)
manhonda dot com (Manchester Honda)
There's others too, but always be aware of the shipping which can take a good price & make it not much better than the dealer.
I've had the seat-bottom cushion out (used to have a 98) but I never had to remove the rear deck.

What I saw at G1 is they ask if the address is business or residential. I can ship to my work for 25% less than to home.
The local dealer also gets parts the next day as Honda has a warehouse 15 minutes up the interstate.
Hall,
Did you happen to notice how to remove that plastic trim below the seat, between rear door threshold and carpet? You probably weren't looking in this area due to the location of your current project, but I was hoping you might know.
