Default Squeaking left front

In just the last few days I've gained a creak or squeak whatever you wanna call it coming from my left front. We recently had snow so there has been a lot of sand and salt etc. on the roads. I'm hoping it's just trash making the noise but when I turn the wheel at low speeds it shows itself. Could it possibly be the strut? It creaks some when I get out of the car too. The struts probably do need replacing (206k miles on them but never had to do anything until now). My big fear is a steering component going bad which is not something that is financially needed right now but hey when is it ever?

Could be a torn cv boot or damaged cv mine does the same and when I lifted it yesterday it was both torn boots making it squeal from lack of lube. Not saying that's definitely it but it's worth a look, your cvs are cvs are connected to your transaxle and are right beside your wheel. The struts will creak when going over bumps so correct me if I'm wrong here but that's most likely not your problem.

Another possibility is a ball joint. Check those out too.

A torn boot on the lower balljoint allows sand & crud in, leading to noise. The worst consequence is balljoint separation.

check that gravel isn't mixed in on top of the brake rotor where the caliper holds it in place.
happened to me on newly chip sealed road (gravel flung up and stayed).

Yeah, I had gravel in the brakes once. It sounded more like grinding, but you know how it is trying to describe sounds over the web...
