Starting problem
Just now completing the install of an H22a with a/t in my 93 Accord Wagon. I've got fluids in it so I wanted to turn it over a few times to work them in and get the trans fluid distributed. When I turn to start, it appears that the starter motor is spinning but not contacting anything. I pulled it and neither it nor the flywheel seem bad or ground down. No missing teeth. Bench tested the starter and it protrudes and spins. When I crank the engine manually at the timing belt, the flywheel moves but I can also move it by hand (easily) through the starter hole. The tranny has mated up OK.
I can't think what's wrong. Hope this is enough info for some advice. Tks, Bob |
RE: Starting problem
first of all you mean torque converotr right ??
did you install the 8 , 6 mm bolts that bolt up the flex plate to the torque convertor,??, did you install the flex plate to the engine ?? |
RE: Starting problem
I never detached the drive plate from the engine. I'll certainly check to see if I attached the torque converter to the drive plate!
