The odds seem low you would have a stuck open injector and low fuel pressure at the same time.

Try scanning for some new codes.

You can try starting fluid to see if fuel delivery is an issue.

I just now attempted to start w/ brake cleaner (no throttle body cleaner) and could not get any hints of starting.

I earlier saw a spark from #2 and discounted spark as root of problem. I will test for spark again when wife is home.

I checked again for codes and found none; set or pending.

thanks

Sparkplugs??
I once had fouled a set of sparkplugs by having way too much fuel. Fixed the problem, dried them off & they looked really good. Still no hint of firing.

The plugs looked so good I was too stubborn to put in a new set. Wife just said I was stupid for not trying it... -ummm- new plugs and it started right up.

This looks to be same unit as AZ, but no details available. They don't come w/ the quick connect fittings needed. User must supply these.

Just now I checked for spark w/ OTC spark plug tester and appears to be sparking. I will check again later when dark enough to clearly see spark.

thanks

I finally got it to start!

I had to turn over for 20-30 seconds before running w/ great billows of white smoke out the exhaust and very strong smell of gas.

After running a while, car idles smoothly w/ no check engine light. However under light throttle begins to miss at about 1500 rpm and check engine light begins to flash.

I let idle for 15 mins and smoking stopped. Missing pattern was unchanged.

I checked codes and found P0300, P0303, P0304. Nothing else.

I'm wondering now if perhaps we got hold of some bad gas. Next is to get spark plugs from 3 & 4 (they've already been out and look good) and check. I'll check LTFT and STFT for some indication of FI imbalance. Compression check will wait on new fitting.

What happened? I suspect that exhaust pipe, converter, and muffler may have been flooded w/ gasoline leading to no start until enough evaporated to allow exhaust to breathe. Also we never tried an extended start till today.

Any suggestions?

thanks

I had a cylinder 1, 2, and random misfire set when my coil went out on my TSX. I reset the codes and only code 1 returned. The misfire code moved when I moved the coil.

Maybe the PCM doesn't do a good job with in intermittent misfire? Not sure if your scanner has a misfire counter that you can check. This almost has to be a bad spark plug or compression issue on cylinder #2.

A bad tank can/will certainly cause problems. And since Honda moved the fuel filter from the firewall to the tank, seperating water from gas no longer happens like it would with the old style replaceable filter. If you're sure you got a bad tank of gas, I'd recommend a canBerrymans B12 for the tank now, and maybe the next tank full as well.

In this day and age of E10 fuel, water is a thing of the past. I'll lay big money the fuel isn't the issue.
