Sun/Moon Roof problems, help!!!

Default Sun/Moon Roof problems, help!!!

whats up i got a 98 accord ex sedan and the sun/moon roof combo was working right the first couple days and then all of sudden it didnt, the glass tilts up fine but it doesnt want to slide back....any suggestions on what could be the problem

side question here, is it possible to replace the fabric seats in my accord with the ones that come leather

It could be the moon roof switch, one of the motors, or the wiring.

I would test the inputs using a volt meter on the moon roof. You could also test the switch as well.

I don't have a good shop manual, but you can get one for a 98 accord from automanualsource.com for $21.99 that you can download as a pdf.

At the electrical connection(s) for each moon roof motor. Or the electrical connection for the windows switch.

You will have to test for voltage or continuity (open/closed circuit) on a wire. We can explain how to use a volt meter to test these items if you don't know how.

ooh ok...wouold the volt meter be the same as a multimeter tool, and at what voltage should it be showing

Yes.....voltage, 12v. Continuity, zero resistance-at least that is how it reads on mine.

Check the track for obstructions. Ours did the same thing right after we go it. It would tilt up, but wouldn't go back. I looked carefully at the track and there was a small piece of rubber or something jamming it. It might not be your problem, but its free to check.
