Surging 1500 rpm. IACV, IAT, PLEASE help
hi,
I recently swapped the engine in my 95 honda accord EX auto.
at stop i can rev the engine great, but when driving at anything below about 2k rpm it surges and jerks like mad. The idle is around 500 rpm which i thought to be low.
The check engine light is on and throwing a long 10. now i dont know if its 10 20 or 30 because im not sure how to differentiate. Before resetting the battery it was also throwing the code for the intake temp sensor and IACV valve.
I took off the valve and cleaned it very well. I replaced the sensor with a new one from autozone. Nothing has changed because the problem is still there. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do next? could this be a vacuum leak? or EGR?
symptoms are:
low idle (~500 rpm)
surging and bucking in Drive
over 2000 rpm it runs and shifts fine
check engine light for code 10 (intake temp sensor-replaced) and code 14 (IACV-Cleaned)
any help would be great,

drove it around the block and the codes are back. the car is only throwing the codes for IACV and intake temp sensor. both were serviced. this being an engine swap is there anyway i could have missed a ground somewhere that could cause these symptoms? these codes have been there since day one.

well i took off the intake air temp sensor and it was completley melted! and the one i had installed from a junkyard car had also melted earlier. I thought the junkyard one might have been old and faulty but it seems that the new sensor was melted and broken as well.
any ideas on what could have caused this?
thanks

well i got it figured out. The IACV plug and IAT sensor plugs are interchangeable. while swapping the harness over and taking apart the intake stuff I accidentally swapped them. Mods you can close this thread. For future reference though, these bad boys are def interchangeable and will throw codes and melt sensors. luckily nothing else burned up like the ecu.
