Default Suspension help needed...

1999 Accord dx 128K

I'm replacing the cv axle on my accord and ran into some problems. I got the dreaded axle nut off with a large bar, but i cannot get the lower control arm(ball joint) nut off. Its rusty and will not budge. Is there a way to replace the axle while keeping the lower ball joint together. Or can I apply pressure up or down to the assembly to make the lower control arm bolt easier to get off?

Thanks.

Did you penetrate that nut with lots of penetrating oil and let it sit awhile?

Pb Blaster overnight and hitting it with a hammer got it loose, and I just finished replacing the cv axle. No more clicking cv joint...Thanks
