Default Suspension issue! Help!

So i am in the process of replacing my front shocks on my 91 accord ex, got the passenger side done with no problem but i have a problem with my driver side. The rotor seems to be stuck at an angle facing down. The rotor cant move up or down only left to right so i cant put back my upper control arm in place. and also when the passenger side rotor is streight, the driver side is not.
*not - i had my friend step on the rotor to give it clearence so i can take the shocks+springs out.
Is it possible that i damaged the alignment and also something on the rotor that prevents it from moving freely?
Thanks a bunch!

The ball joint and outer tie-rod should be able to move freely. Maybe you overextended the CV joint and that is what is preventing you from moving the knuckle.
