The Engine Control Module or Powertrain Control Module is located under the center of the dash.

On a 2001, it doesn't have a separate transmission computer. For automatics, it is a combined unit and called a powertrain control module (PCM).

What issues does the car have? On 6th generation Accord (98-02), the PCM generally is not the source of transmission related issues. Instead the transmission can have issues.

Hmmm, sounds like it may be a bad replacement transmission.
