Tcm compatibility 93 honda accord 2 door (with spoiler)
My rpms stay high and it feels like I have no power.pulled my tcm and it was burnt in some places and corroded in others so I went to the junkyard and pulled a tcm from a 94. I'm wondering if it's compatible. I know the box and bracket are different but the board components look similar enough and the plug ins are the same. I also need new battery cables so I have to wait until then to test if it works so a good answer would save me a couple trips indeed.
I would say that having different part numbers likely means it will not be a simple swap. I think swapping is much easier if you can find the identical part number (or an updated version). The honda oem parts sites like hondapartsnow.com list the OEM part numbers for your car and also list the newer revised parts numbers for the TCU if Honda had updates for a specific component.

Yup, I'd use car-part.com and enter the original unit's number in. You really want a matching number IF possible.
