Temperature Gauge Not Working Help!

I looked at the parts drawings for 99 Civic, and seems to be the same scheme as the Accord. Without a shop manual I'm not absolutely sure, but here goes...
The 2-wire sender under the distributor is water-temperature sensor for the ECU. Not related to the dashboard gauge at all.
The 2-wire sender in the thermostat housing is the fan switch. Not related to the dashboard gauge at all.
