where should i shop for car stereo?
I've been doing some research about car stereos and I have a basic understanding of how it works and what I may need to purchase. I'm just not sure where I should go to purchase it. I listen to mostly rap and I know that Definately need to purchase a new receiver, amp( possibly two, subwoofers, dynamat ,still not sure about the tweeters and all-around speakers.
I was talking to the guy in car stereo at best buy and he was really helpful and he seemed to know what he was talking about. He brought up a good point about being able to go to any bestbuy if i have any problems with my stereo. My friend suggested CarToys, but I've read some bad reviews online.

thanks poorman. keep hope alive is very informative. I decided to get a 6200 pioneer head unit, kicker compvr subs 700 rms watt subs, and a alpine 1000 rms mono amp on crutchfield. later on i plan on dynamatting the **** out of my car to block the outside noise.
im pretty sure im gunna need a crossover unit when i decide to replace my midrange speakers. I would say shopping for the crossover would be the hardest thing. I have no idea what to look for in one.

I feel bad here because I didn't really do anything, but thank you. This really should go to him.
If anything, pay it forward....we all have skills here and there or know someone who does, so getting the right people together makes all the difference.
EDIT: I guess one last thing, Glad to know you were able to get the info you needed...Thanks
