Thermostat Replacement

I have been looking through the site and have been unable to locate a DIY on thermostat replacement on a 1996 honda accord lx.

Is it possible I have overlooked it? I am notorious for that:(

any help on how it is replaced is greatly appreciated!!

4cyl-being an lx I can assume so? I can hit the highlights.....

1) drian the coolant, or not. If not be prepared
2) remove the air intake for room
3) remove the t-stat housing (lower hose), depending on step one...there may or may not be a mess of fluid
4) Note direction of old t-stat, install new...pin up.install housing
5) Open bleeder, turn heat to max, refill rad....close bleeder when full
6) run car until cooling fans cycle at least once-keep an eye on the temp gauge-if it starts to over heat...shut it off

Follow poorman212's instructions. See # 8 and #12 in this thread to give you some visual, many of the other steps do not apply since you would not be removing the radiator, other than maybe draining the coolant from the radiator.
