Hello,

I have a 98 Accord V6. Three dash lights came on simultaneously: Battery Light, Door Ajar Light (4 doors & trunk all lit up), Brake Light.

I just replaced the alternator yesterday and now all of the above will flicker on and off at the same time intermittently. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

 

Check alternator installation; connector firmly in place and B+ battery connection secure. Disconnect battery negative post before tightening B+ connection. Check battery connections and clean/tighten as necessary.

It could be a defective alternator. Not unusual w/ Autozone, Orielllys, et al cheap aftermarket alternators.
