timing advanced, but not. 92
So ive checked all my timing marks, even balance shaft lines up nice.
But when I set timing with light, I make distributor all the way advanced, and its about halfway between white line and red line.
I get a lot of pinging going up hills, cant accelerate very well...
im assuming something factory is out of wack and I need to move cam a few teeth, but not sure if it will damage anything.

you should do the tdc rotor check anyway just to confirm.

You checked and distributor rotor is pointing towards No 1 spark plug cable connector w/ crankshaft pulley aligned to 15 BTDC?
If yes, then distributor rotor may have sheared. It seems possible, but I never heard of this.
It is possible to install the distributor rotor off by 180 degs. Guess how I know
good luck
